The Northwest Youth Music Association (NYMA) and Seattle Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps are pleased and proud to announce we have entered into a strategic partnership with 2023 Independent A WGI Finalist Cascadia Winterguard, led by Ryan Valencia.
Cascadia Winterguard is an independent dance and performance ensemble based out of the greater Portland region. Cascadia Winterguard is a project of Cascadia Winterguards, Inc., a non-profit organization seeking to offer performance-based opportunities to the youth and young adults of the Pacific Northwest.
“We are excited to have Cascadia Winterguard partner with the NYMA. Their commitment to education, family, and excellence aligns perfectly with our strategy as an organization. We couldn’t be more excited to help Cascadia continue to increase, improve, and support the colorguard activity all over the PNW.” said NYMA Executive Director, Michael Leone.
NYMA has been hard at work these past few months working with Ryan Valencia and Seattle Cascades alumni Jonathon Brown on this partnership. The number one goal of this joint venture is to build a stronger community of cooperation, create more educational opportunities, and expand the base for the Marching and Performing Arts.
“Cascadia Winterguard is humbled and excited for this partnership with NYMA! The organizational alignment on mission and purpose will help expand our opportunities and scope within the region by increasing performance opportunities for performers in the PNW. We look forward to growing Cascadia to the next level with support from NYMA.” said Cascadia Winterguard Director, Ryan Valencia.
